Our team is drowning in monday.com email notifications. We're getting hundreds of emails a day for every update. How do you configure notifications effectively? Is there a way to reduce noise while still staying informed about important updates?

Notification overload is real but configurable. Here's the fix: 1) Go to your Profile → Notifications → turn off 'Email notifications' for most categories. 2) Keep only: '@mentions', 'Status changes on items I'm assigned to', and 'Due date reminders'. 3) For boards, set board-level notification preferences (Board Settings → Notifications) - you can customize per board. 4) Use the 'Subscribe' feature strategically - only subscribe to items you need to watch, not everything. 5) Enable 'Daily Digest' instead of instant notifications for lower-priority boards. 6) Pro tip: create a separate email filter that labels monday.com emails so you can batch-process them. With these settings, we went from 150+ daily emails to about 15-20.

Another approach: disable all email notifications and rely on in-app notifications only. The mobile app shows in-app notifications well, and you can check them during designated 'email times' rather than letting them interrupt continuous work. Also, use the 'Do Not Disturb' schedule settings to suppress notifications outside work hours.
